Adopt-A-Rat or Make a Donation

You can be a part of eradicating the dangers posed by landmines and curbing the spread of Tuberculosis by making a donation to APOPO or supporting a HeroRAT now! The contributions we receive go towards our demining work in Mozambique, screening for tuberculosis, research for future applications, and the maintenance and training of our rats. We truly value your support, as it helps to ensure that our HeroRATs can continue their important work. Thank you!

“Adopt” a Rat:

Our “Adopt-A-Rat” program is a great way to gain insight into our work, through the eyes of our HeroRATs. Because the true cost to train a rat is higher than the average person is able to contribute, our program is a shared adoption. The minimum cost per adopter is 5 Euros per month. Tax Deductable Donations/Tax Attestation/Donations via Bank Account:
For tax deductable or tax effective giving, contributions must be made through one our foundation partners in the following countries: Germany, Belgium, France, United Kingdom, United States. See instructions here. If we do not have a partnership with a foundation in your country, donations via credit card here is the best way to give. In addition a number of them will also accept donations via bank account. *Foundations are not always able to share donor information with us, so we ask that you send us an email at herorats@herorat.org so we may know how to reach you to thank you properly.

Gifts:
If you want your adoption to be a gift, please email us at herorats@herorat.org and tell us: 1) your name, 2) the rat you adopted, 3) full name of the lucky recipient of the HeroRAT adoption, and 4) the email address to send the materials to.
